Noted Yiddish poet. His poetry dealt with the theme of social justice for Jewish workers. Staff writer of the *Jewish Daily Forward*, *Yiddishes Tageblatt*, *Arbeter fraynd* (London) and other newspapers and magazines. Rosenfeld's poems were widely popular among Jewish workers throughout the world. Born in the village of Boksze in the Suvalki district. Lived in London. Immigrated to the U.S. in 1886.
