Born on August 6, 1893, in Dubienka, in the province of Lublin, then part of the Russian Empire. Since 1929, was a member of the Central Committee of the Polish Bund. In 1939, after the outbreak of World War II, fled to Vilna, from which he fled to America, in 1940. From 1941-1948, was a member of the Bund's American representatives in Poland. Since 1941, was affiliated with several Bundist and non-Bundist publications, including the Forverts. Since 1947, was a member of the Bund's World Coordination Committee. From May 1977 to October 1985, was a secretary of this committee. Published several books, including Di Yidishe sotsyalistishe bavegung in Amerike, Di geshikhte fun Bund in Lodzsh, and Di Yidn in Ukrayne. Edited Di Geshikhte fun Bund. Died on April 18, 1992 in New York.
