Yiddish writer and journalist.  Active in Jewish cultural, relief and immigration organizations in Eastern Europe and the United States, including: YEKOPO (Evreysky Komitet Pomoshchi Zhertvam Voiny - Jewish Relief Committee for War Sufferers), Berlin, 1926;  HICEM, Paris, 1936;  Jewish Writers' Union, New York, 1946;  Louis Lamed Foundation, 1942-1956. Editor of Yiddish newspapers and periodicals in Soviet Russia, 1918-1922. Contributor to the Yiddish press around the world. Born in Dukor, Minsk province, Byelorussia. Brother of Shmuel Niger and Baruch Vladeck. Lived in Moscow, Vilna, Berlin and Paris.  Settled in the U.S. in 1941.
