American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. Also known as the JDC, AJDC, and the JOINT. The YIVO Archives has received several subgroups of JDC records from the AJDC in New York. These subgroups include: AJDC Reports; Records of the American Joint Reconstruction Foundation; AJDC War Orphans Bureau; AJDC Search Department; AJDC Office in Lisbon; AJDC Personal Service Department; AJDC Landsmanshaftn Department; AJDC Clppings; and AJDC Photographs.
Each of these subgroups is separately registered under its own record group number in the YIVO Archives and has its own entry and collection description.
